For last 3 days bank of baroda’s internet banking was not getting connected from my laptops. I initially thought site must be down. All it said was - Site took too long to respond. Site can’t be reached.
But it would be strange that it would be down for so long. So today I investigated. I tried following but did not help
So I called Airtel. I thought I have a tough time ahead.
Now looks like they have an improved process, if they can’t automatically detect an issue they transfer the call to executive rather than blindly opening an SR.
So I told the story to helpdesk executive and he realized it needed further attention. So he transferred the call to a senior technician who made some backend changes and within 2 minutes the site was accessible. He confirmed that there was a backend issue though he did not disclose what the issue was. I am pleasantly surprised that this issue was resolved by Airtel instantly.

- Changed DNS from Airtel to google
- Changed browsers
- Cleared cache cookies temp files
- Created a clean Windows 10 VM and tried from it
