In my opinion, it is mostly for the good because if they are planning to roll out their services here then rates would be subsidized but this may create a monopoly also. Airtel and Tata are already present almost everywhere in Pune/PCMC and expanding rapidly. Jio has also started rolling out it's services in some areas. It would be interesting to see how a government backed ISP handles competition unlike BSNL.
