Railwire asking around 10k for installation...

My friend applied for railwire few days ago on their website and someone from the team called today and they are asking for 10k. How much did it cost for you guys? 10k seems absurd.

Mine was for 2.5k, but my LCO is quite good and is charging the lowest possible. Usually you should be charged around 4-5k, some of which should be refundable.

My 2.5k is non-refundable.

4-5k should be the installation charges. 10k just for installation doesn't make any sense. Mine was 4k.

Ikr. With around 10K you could pay off annual plans on bsnl and jio FTTH.

They are trying to loot the people in the times of necessity. Did the LCO provide the break up of 10k?

I don't think he explained the breakup. My friend just specified his address more clearly and the guy told him it would take around 10k. Could it be cause the guy said it is 500-600m away?

Distance from the splitter box might be the reason. That's a lot of distance to cover.
