so basically you have multiple wires attached to it? power, display, hard disk... what else? i am not even sure how convenient it is to type on! especially with all the wires hooked to it and then it is not even a full sized keyboard.

Yup. An hdmi cable, a hard disk (in my case since I'm booting a custom batocera 256gb image)and a usb-c power brick. The keyboard is basically a laptop keyboard. Same feel.
