RCS Spam has arrived in India

in any case, in absence of an equivalent of can-spam act in india. i guess spam is not necessarily illegal in india.
sure dnd lets you opt out and complain about them but i really doubt there is any law preventing these companies from sending spam to you.

Why not disable RCS completely? It's not like anyone here is using it for actual chatting? lol

Unpopular opinion: Truecaller chat is pretty amazing if you can overlook the privacy implications of your number being listed in their directory. lol And no spam at all.

I guess we need to disable Chat option in Google Messages to stop RCS.

Perhaps we should start marking them as spam instead of disabling RCS. They have no right to encroach on our personal space without our consent. 10-15mins minimum each day is wasted deleting these kinds of smses, emails and attending all these spam calls. No to mention the foul mood we end up with after this, which takes another hour to calm down.

Currently only Google Messages and Samsung Messages supports RCS. Disabling it is pretty simple.

I use Google sms. Disabled chat services and marked Domino's as spam.
