i am just surprised cops did not shoot the guy the first chance they got when they realized he was trouble. it's america after all.
 
Yep. That's the only unbelievable part. In real life, he would have been dead in the opening scene. I mean I just read that NYPD cops fired indiscriminately into a subway to stop someone who didn't pay $3 ticket injuring bystanders and cops as well. So. Yeah.
