Redmi Note 7s Wifi Issue

My dad has a Redmi Note 7s which recently got an update of android 10. After the update he is facing an issue with wifi. Whenever the mobile is near the router, he gets full 50 Mbps speeds (on 2.4 GHz). However when he takes the mobile to his room, the wifi connectivity goes away. In that same room I am able to get around 20-25 Mbps speeds on my Redmi 4. Before the Android 10 update he was able to connect to the wifi in that room but now he is facing problems. Can someone please suggest some solution to this?

You might want to check the Xiaomi forums. If many people face this issue, maybe they’ll give a fix.
