Get BSNL. Its not as good as Airtel, but it works fine most of the time. Get a 3G/4G connection as backup from Airtel/Docomo. Use it until Reliance Jio is launched and hope that it will serve your area!!

That's the highest speed plan I found online. I hope this is in my area. By the way, does only fiber offer these high d/l speeds or copper does too?

Yes I think dedicated means contention ratio should be 1:1, i.e. you would get 2mbps around 99% of the time. Can some provide more details regarding dedicated broadband connections?

I'm guessing their "dedicated" line is the Business Broadband (so, decent SLA too) service they offer. It's 1:1 and last i checked (a few years ago, so prices will have changed) it was around 4500 per month for 2mbit and 9k for 4mbit.

An update. Went to the area's BSNL office and put in a request for a change of plan to the BBG Super Speed Combo. The lady there said there is service in the area although after a while she started second guessing herself The technician will be visiting on Tuesday or Wednesday to make this change. I'll let you know how it goes. Hopefully I get the promised 24mbps.
