I have been using MTNL for the past 5 years and more recently (say 3 months) the connection has been very erratic. Complaining doesn't seem to bring any change, they keep mentioning some excuse or the other. In short I have given up on MTNL and its high time I look for an alternative.
I live in the Mahakali area of Andheri east and on a quick enquiry I believe other than MTNL, TATA and Sify provide service nearby. I am not too sure about local ISPs.
My usage usually comes around 50-70GB a month and I prefer a reasonable fast (if not faster than MTNL's download speed of 2Mbps) bandwidth and minimum 1Mbps upload speed.
