Reliance Big TV DTH: finally bigtv removed ndtv channels

Nothing is profitable from Day 1 I see DTH will soon be profitable (even they are profitable behind a curtain) - they wont show they are making profits (just like our petroleum companies).People need entertainment at home. People like to make their lives luxurious. DTH is something that if you wanna stick to your favorite 50-60 channels, you can always do with Star Plus, Sony, ZEE, Max, UTV Movies, Star Movies, Star News, CNBC Awaz, Ten Sports, Discovery, Animal Planet, Travel & Living, MTV, V, 9XM, Disney, ETV - thats all (of course we have more in BigTV Starter-3 pack). Do we need 300 channels every month to see anything out of the above channels?So, DTH is of course better than local cable (remember, those days we used to call those suckers to ask for repair and we even dont get to know a proper time to fix a problem). Now, even if we get 50-60 channels, we get the superior quality. We can keep sufficient distance to our TV sets and can enjoy those channels.DTH is of course going to be a big hit (in next 5 years) and it would be in a market till we get a next technology.(and think, if these companies have ventured into this business, they must have seen something - isnt it? corporates dont do anything without seeing bread and butter)So, DTH is always profitable venture (thats a different thing they dont show us and government but they will carry home big bundles at the end of their venture).

i doubt that DTH wud be success this way, it can chip away huge cable percentage but (unhappy) ppl wud keep switching DTH every year or two

well... the companies have to realize that they are not really offering anything better than what the cable guy provides.they just have one advantage... people get mad on their cable guy. they need an alternative. they move to DTH...i doubt anyone who has a sane cable guy would even consider moving to the DTH platform.

exactly cable connection is good and service is fast too. but only thing is charges are too high. may be i am paying price of living in good area.

DTH is a better way to avoid the channels which not into our favorite list.. i guess apart from their native language all require the rest of the channels.Say for example i wanted Tamil package in my subscription., so i do not need Any gujarathi or marathi channels... but need Hindi channels for alternation option.. also.. HBO, Star Movies, News Channels and Cartoon is became like a necessary channels...So here i am only avoiding the other pack channels except hindi... in that way i can save little but not much...

well guys prior november 2 prior i had opted for starter pack one and was seeing the other channels that i didnt get via local cable connection,now i have disconnected cable connection since i took another dth connection i.e airtel digital tv.but from november 2 i took south starter pack in my big tv and i am still able to see NDTV channels
