Hi!Please let me know Reliance Big HD Vs Airtel Digital HD.I have not comfortable with Airtel HD and Sony EX720. Can i move to Big HD?:wink (2):

Between Reliance & Airtel, surely Reliance gets a nod ahead of Airtel.

Thanks! Shan and Jaymin,But, Reliance advertisement for over 250 channels are HD relay.. but higher pack contains around 180+ channels!!Also, how better than Airtel? and Is it any difference between 5x/10x speed " Reliance Digital TV HD Set Top-Box uses cutting edge technology to up-scale the existing video resolution to 1080p at 50 Hz, popularly known as Full HD, by enlarging and digitally processing the video 10 times."What about for 100Hz or 200 Hz??

I didnt understand this point actually. Whats ur question i mean? I am not a user of Reliance, but have heard that new connections all come with upscaled HD capability. And they have also added Star Asli HD recently. SO u get quite a few channels in HD - upscaled & Real.
It is better than Airtel, AFAIK Airtel hasnt announced any such upscaling in their broadcast.

That line u have quoted may be a publicity gimmick, coz this Dish TV is also doing the same thing, but they are offering lesser Upscaled channels.

Bottomline - all it means is that they upscale channels, and give u a slightly better viewing experience, than regular one, that too without charging u anything extra.

That "Hz" or Heartz count is the refresh ratio. Normally higher refresh ratios arent supported by all TVs. So they might have kept 50Hz. Dont know much more than this!!

i m using reliance hd dvr from last 7-8 months and i m quite happy with them :) :yahoo:

I question is to you that,

Is there any option for RDTV DVR as edit tp, signal status? If yes they offer LNB type = c band/ ku band / universal options to choose?
In ADTV, if you record a programe from a channel & in the future you dont subscribe the channel you cant watch the recorded video while you dont again subscribe the channel. Same with RDTV? / they allow?

Thanks.

& does rdtv give right to change picture ration 16:9 to 4:3? ok.

I dont know these details, but 1 thing about D2h i wud mention is - even if u de-subscribe from a channel, u can watch the show recorded on it.

Thanks!

I like your replies specially about d2h dvr.
I heard that D2H dvr software look is dull but I like feature which allows us to create clips of recorded vdos.
July 2011 they upgrade software but there are less changes can you clear it here?

You are exist subscriber of RDTV DVR so you can clear my below queries.
1) RDTV DVR claims that they provide now 250 channels in HD ready quality. Did you think that ur RDTV DVR's SD channels quality are improved / just they convert SD picture ratio 4:3 to 16:9? What is reality?

2) Does RDTV DVR allow to watch recorded programmes after the channel end subscription?

3) Can we create clips of recorded programs by editing in the recorded programme with option copy, cut & delete?

Thanks.

I heard that D2H claims that they offer 200GB hard drive in DVR but according to your old reply you not found the drive size. Doesnt they offer 200GB Drive?

I like ur replies about D2H DVR. & Thanks for last reply to me.

Thanks.

The thread is related to RDTV & ADTV, so i am posting last time anything related to D2h in this thread......

From what i have heard, they offer 200 hours of recording, but the box properties shows 73 hrs and 30-35 minutes of total available time. I dont know whats wrong, but actually i dont need that much time. Earlier i used to record few shows on HD channels thinking that i wud watch them later on. But i hardly get time.
I use recording only for Mom. to record her serials. She watches & then deletes that stuff!!

And i mentioned in some other thread too. There are hardly few visual changes. Most are bug-fixes.......but yeah they have changed the logo, the look of the Radio, the look of Channel guide.......

Coming to ur 1st Question on RDTV - yes most channels are Upscaled HD. ie, converted from SD to HD. And upscaled HD doesnt look much different from SD. Thats my opinion.

----------

Yes, but they are honest enough to not charge u extra, by claiming this!!

They allowed just recording only 1 programe at a time. Is it true? I am talking about RDTV.
