I was told by customer care and Jio store staff that my SIM is old (early 2016) & needs to be replaced to get welcome offer. Went for SIM replacement and after completing all verification & authentication, the process failed as my SIM is from another circle and they didn't have SIM card with pan India compatibility (green SIM packet). Will try to use the SIM on a device which already received welcome offer.
Damn, it worked !! I just used it on another device and got the welcome offer instantaneously. Swapped the SIM back to original device and 5G is working. Good coverage inside the building as well.
@mate which handset Welcome offer was not receive? Mine was SamsungS23+ which was not getting 5G Welcome offer.
BTW S23+ remains connected to 5G inside home as well, while iPhone 12 Mini connects only when handset is outside.
My iPhone 14 remain connected to 5g all the time in indoors as well. iphone 12 mini modem is older generation that’s why its a bit week in gaining signal
@SVK my Moto Edge 30 didn't receive welcome offer. But another Edge 30 in my household with local sim received it when 5G was launched in my area.
Speeds are pretty great. Latency seems to have improved as well when compared to initial days.
