I'm thinking about using this only as a backup for whenever my wired ftth goes down.

And yes , let my TV or STB use it for OTT

Review from Banglaore (Previous ISP ACT)
Booked the connection on November 06, 2023 (late evening), got the initial registration call on November 10, 2023 which basically is the guys coming over and doing the KYC bit, along with the payment. There are only "AirFiber" Plans and not "AirFiber Max" Plans so basically 100 MBPS at 899 without the excess frills and 1199 with the frills. Payment must be made for 6 months at a stretch with a 1000 installation charge (not applicable on annual plans). The install guys came the next day (November 11, 2023) for the install, relatively straight forward, they have stopped the "Junction Box" install thing (as per the technician Jio is saving on costs by waiting or multiple bookings in an area to get the "Junction Box" up and running it runs them upwards of 40K), where only the ODU is installed and the IDU is set up, ODU is really compact. Install was complete with the connection activated took around 2 hours from the install start.
Coming to the connection, as promised 100 MBPS is achieved on the DL with a loaded ping around 30 MS, on UL I get around 75 MBPS loaded ping at 75 MS. Ping is relatively stable no spikes or fluctuations.
Coming to the equipment - the Router is solid, the web interface is quite good, and it's a good bit of gear :) coming from TP-Link ACT provided trash, the STB is your run of the mill STB running andriod "JioOS" can connect to a 4K TV no problems.
I am happy with the connection, works as intended and really you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between FTTH and AirFiber, that is considering you stick to a relatively reasonable speed of 100 MBPS to 300 MBPS if that's what you need and need to get away from the standard FTTH cartel of ACT / Hathway good choice.

I booked connection on 19th September and got my connection in November 15th, it’s been almost a month using Jio Air Fiber, which I replaced from ACT. Initially Jio team took almost 8 hrs to install my connection, as I had my cousin as well who preferred to switch from ACT!

We have one outdoor unit with 2 connections! I’m glad that I switched and truly enjoyed my stay with Jio Airfiber till day!

I have not faced any issues till now with the Internet coverage as the router provided is very advanced tech and it covers my entire 3BHK duplex home with an ease!

Always I have seen the promised MBPS provided for both the connections!

Overall I’m quite satisfied and highly recommended to people looking to switch from different service providers!

@Rickysin Nah mate. They still have an ODU and an IDU but previously there used to be a dual ODU the actual receiver and the splitter, but the splitter is only installed on the 2nd or 3rd booking from the same Receiver ODU. So if you are just 1 customer using it, the ODU is just a single unit with no splitters, essentially a dedicated ODU for your connection.

I am highly suspecting paid posters over here 🙃 with their glowing reviews.... Looking for feedback after few days/weeks of usage.

I don't buy it when someone with 1 or few message count posting history says "I booked connection on 19th September and got my connection in November 15th, it’s been almost a month using Jio Air Fiber" which if you look at the dates/timelines - makes NO sense.

Purely for OTT, JioFiber is fine. Else, for everything else, Airtel is better.
I have had people with RDP dropping consistently on Jio, which was a deal breaker for the WFHs.

Service and Support would depend from region to region.

Jio AirFiber isn't recommended and should only be an option as a last resort.

You can/try to also support local ISPs if they are any good in your area. A lot of time, they'd turn out to be better but OTT availability will vary to non-existing.
