No, I haven't. The reason why voice won't work is because 4G can't do circuit switched voice inherently. So, either you need VoLTE or 2G/3G to fall back to. It has nothing to do with license. RJIL can deploy 2G on their 1800 MHz spectrum, if they want to.

Yes. Until they tie up with RCOM for 2G/3G fallback, voice won't work without VoLTE.

I was not able to call from samsung Galaxy Note 4

Configure the APN settings on your phone as per the first post, then follow the below instructions to enable voice calls from your Galaxy Note 4[1]:

1. Tap Phone > Keypad tab.
2. Tap More options > Settings.
3. Tap Call > Voice over LTE settings.
4. Tap Use VoLTE when available or Do not use VoLTE.

The other thing might be that your RJio SIM was not provisioned for voice (i.e. data-only SIM meant for tablets and dongles, or no voice plan provisioned).

There is no option in indian version. Of samsung note 4 or 5 or iPhone .stop quoting Us or uk site ...check 1st then post something

I checked the settings on a Galaxy Note 4 and couldn't find any option relating to VoLTE. So I guess Galaxy Note 4 Indian variant doesn't support VoLTE. I don't know if it's a software issue or if the hardware doesn't support it.

It is disappointing that even recent high end phones do not have support for VoLTE.

Don't worry, They will fix it by updating. Note 4 Indian Version supports VoLTE

The settings won't show up unless you are on a compatible LTE network.
