isn't it 1mbps on all plans?

Ah found it. Turns out i'm blind

kind of idiotic tbh. this is like providing 64kbps fup on mobile plans. 1mbps is useless for ANYTHING.

What a garbage company, they had all the time in the world to plan this and yet they mess up spectacularly. People have more doubts than before.

Jio was more interested in providing entertainment devices like TV, set top box, Bluetooth speaker, etc, instead of proper high speed unlimited internet.

Yeah, rather , they should have just be charging for internet first and additional cost seperate for OTT and other shit. 499 for 100mbps with 500 gigs FUP would have been great. But FUP should not be there at all like how they did with 4G. 1GB pr day is there however it's alot better than 1gb pr month. Now giving that freedom to people, people don't use 1gb even. I use hardly 3-4 gigs a month on my 4G.

Would you recommend Tata Sky Broadband? I need unlimited data and the plans they were giving to me(2 weeks back) are not bad 1250 for 100mbps unlimited.

Yes I'd recommend TSBB from a user perspective point of view. Speeds are as per plan.

Unlike Airtel TSBB support is lacking in responsiveness and they hand out CG NAT IPs, makes torrenting difficult unless you're on VPN. My subscription runs out in Nov. I am still not decided if I will renew.

jio is really unprofessional its like some sort of mind game they think they are planning.

Wasted everyone's time, could have decided a fixed time when plans will be released, all they did is posted a pdf and updated on their site. how hard was that ?

nothing about tv ?

These plans suggest they don't wanna cannibalize their mobile data business, surely their market research team can't be that dumb, more so with Hathway which is running on back of their infra having such VFM plans.

how would wired broadband hurt their mobile data business 😶
people have to renew their mobile plans. and mobile plans are already cheap enough.
it's not like you can get an unlimited calling plans without data these days from any operator.
