1.Place your TP-Link router at a suitable place
2.Plug in the power adaptor that came along with device
3.Turn on the repeater with the power button which you will find at the back of the device
4.Get your smartphone and connect it to the TP link Wi-Fi network using the password printed at the back of the device
5.Go to the browser and go to the URL - tplinkwifi.net and press enter to go
6.Post login change the password to a new password
7.After the password is changed successfully re-login with the new password
8.Click on the ‘Operation mode’ and check if it is in ‘Access point mode’. Change it to the ‘Range Extender Repeater Mode’ and click on Save
9.After the above changes the device will reboot. You need to click on Yes to proceed
10.After you restart the router again go to the tplinkwifi.net address in your browser
11.If you have Jio Home gateway JCO500 or JCO300 go to the wireless settings tab, select Connect to network option, select the 5GHz band and click on Scan
12.If you have Jio Home gateway JCO110 go to the wireless settings tab, select Connect to network option, select the 2GHz band and click on scan.
13. After the scan multiple Wi-Fi names will appear, you need to select the JioFiber home gateway wi-fi name.
14. Select the network based on your Jio Home gateway. Select the following -
a.Security – WPA/WPA2
b.Version –WPA2PSK
c.Encryption – AES
15. Enter the valid password to proceed and click on save
16. Change the Wi-Fi names same as your Jio Home gateway and click on Save
This way you can configure your TP-link router as a repeater.
