Fiber should fixed most problems. The guy who handles the network in my area did the smart thing by migrating the network to fiber 2-3 years ago and it has been pretty great since then.
I still haven't removed the UBNT surge protector from my line even though I am on fiber since yesterday lol. Guy was surprised to see that unit and had no idea why I had it installed. They should have been installing them assuming cheaper alternatives are available locally. I had to import mine through Amazon.
excitel is ftth in my area, still there are downtimes but very minimal. but the bigger problem is speed drops. my LCO warned me about this cuz I have a good repo with him.
he told me to stick to BSNL. he said excitel has been performing good but only during lockdown they're suffering. he's facing lot of complaints from existing excitel users. He suggested me to go for excitel in October, till then stay with BSNL. he's the LCO for both.
