i hope it dosent become only service provider in India to dictate terms and conditions
Even if say Airtel goes bankrupt (which will never happen because Sunil Mittal is the second smartest businessman compared to Mukesh Ambani) and Jio is the only operator in India, second to BSNL, a PSU, the TRAI/DoT will make an application to invite operators to invest in India, legally, and make sure all those unethical business practices never happen or the telecos will suffer the same fate as today's cartel. We could actually see some hope spring up in the telecom sector, and companies actually make profit here. I wonder if T-Mobile/Three UK try and bring their operations to India. I bet they'll be really successful here.

No sane company will invest in a country in an industry where some of the biggest names in the world have just gone bankrupt. In addition, the revenue per user is super low in India. Tmobile makes around 100$ per user in Europe and the US. Why would they invest billions to earn 2$ per user in a risky environment?

duh. you just need to invest a few hundred crores in electoral bonds and enter a market where ambani/adani are not present and you can basically wipeout the competition and become a monopoly today.

Nope I have an idle Jio sim card which I didn't recharge for 6 months and I still receive incoming calls.
