lol now in Delhi people will do minimum recharges and use this 15 Gb data, some relief for dealing with new expensive plans. If they can offer paid plans with more speed these hotspots can be sustainable.
Airtel will get more subs (double sims) who will recharge cheapest plan to extend validity and use hotspot data.
If there is difference in speed for premium and free users govt can generate some revenue.
P.S. Kejriwal is really desperate to get elected so I have high hope this will be done. He has installed CCTV everywhere very quickly they are just everywhere now.

Notice that the 12 month plans have a validity of 365 days (actually a year) and not 28*12 = 336 days.
So you get 365-336 = 29 days (about 1 month ) extra if you recharge with the 12 month plan as opposed to recharging with 28 days plan 12 times (or 84 days plan 4 times).

yes all operators 12 months plans offer 365 days.
I am actually happy with new jio plans.
New plan - 1299 for 365 days with 12000 min Non Jio FUP
Old plan - 98x13 = 1274 + 77x13 = 1001 (for 1000/month Non Jio FUP) Total = 2275

The 1299 is a very good plan for people who don't use a lot of mobile data and have broadband at home.
I think many will go with this plan.
However, I feel there should have been a plan offering data between 1.5 GB per day and 2 GB per month.
Because 1.5 GB per day is a lot of data and doesn't get used up.
While 2 GB per month is very less data (at least to a person who is used to 1.5 GB per day).

All have increased their prices and IUC was just a stepping stone stunt by Jio and all three played along with mute TRAI as spectator.
Although this was imminent but there is nothing good about cartelisation.
And those expecting improvement in network happening..... rest assured, nothing will happen. Whatever milage Jio wanted to take of their Political clout, they have done it and become the top telco in the shortest time period. Now Jio will play along with other 2 and fleece consumer.
The only good thing that might happen is launch of VoWiFi, if that happens..... then second phase of consolidation will start as people will start giving up second sim.
As most are saying, the 1299 plan is actually great. The reason? Most of us have home broadband, and don't really need daily plans. The only disappointment is, 24GB instead of 30 or 50GB for the year.
But here's the thing. . I think Jio might change the plans soon. Once Jio gets more spectrum, the plans will probably get more data. The spectrum auctions will be held between April to June. So I would take the 329 plan twice, and wait for a plan change. If nothing happens, I'll switch to the 1299 plan.
