Reliance Jio Officially Launching on Sept 5, Tariffs announced

^^ Yes they are.

Till then, Jio network is simply unfit for making and receiving calls. Now that even data is capped to 128 kbps after 4 Gb, there is very little incentive to use Jio as your primary number.

Most of my usage is updating apps on my iPhone and Android. Everyone knows about connectivity issues with Google Play store and Apple App store. Speeds do not go over 200 kbps most of the time. So what to do of this 4Gb data? They don't expect me to watch HD stuff on 4GB limit with pathetic youtube peering.

Still better than AVoId as it is free till 31st I guess. But not for me.

Back to MTNL and waitinng for Jio Giga fiber.

Jiharsh - Why should the customers start a petition? It is up to Jio to sort it out with the operators or drag them to court. They have the money and the clout to do that.

- I wasn't aware of the slow speeds on App store. That explains why it is taking ages for the My Jio app to download.

Customer care has gone kaput. 'system Failure' is the message I get when I try to call them. Speeds are down to 8-9 mbps. I wonder how they will cope up when sims become available at local retailers easily.

plus these operators are losing money because they get money for every call from the jio network. jio is losing money on every call you make using their network. so it's jio's headache to solve. they are probably preparing to take the operators to tribunal or court whichever is the logical choice here.

has anyone got the Jio SIM activated using eKYC(Aadhar authentication)? How long does it take for the activation? Is it still required to televerify even if the eKYC was done?
