Anyone else notice that they renamed the carrier from 'Jio 4G' to 'JIO'?

I noticed it. 4G wording may be removed because of following reasons:

1. Jio may go into partnership with BSNL and use their 3G network
2. Jio might even be close to launch 5G in future. It would be better to rename their network now instead of later.

It has always been 'Jio 4G' on iPhone 5S and 'Jio' on iPhone 7, both connected to the same tower for me.

Its just a name. But it also a FREE advertisement!

Everybody searching for network will see "4G" against JIO.

Six months back - 4G was still kind of UNKNOWN.

But now that most operators have also launched 4G - having 4G in name is no more important.

What is the first character of UPC code for Jio??
Eg. BSNL is B, Airtel is A, Aircel is D.

It has always been 'Jio 4G' on iPhone 5S and 'Jio' on iPhone 7, both connected to the same tower for me.

In Mumbai, Google Pixel Android 7.1.2 it is showing JIO as carrier name. They might be renaming it gradually or might be some technical glitch.
