It might not necessarily be an explicit top level push. Jio seems to give a significant amount as commission for new AirFiber connections to the installation folks. That could be the motivation behind this immoral behavior.

Reliance Jio pushing JioAirFiber over JioFiber
Ideally they should push for fiber wherever they have infra ready. This reduces congestion in 5G band and optimally utilises their already laid fiber cables. They deployed underground fiber cables in every street in my locality (which requires money and govt approvals) and now their reps are pushing airfiber, seems counterproductive to me.
From my perspective, Jio is trying to push more burden on AirFiber than Fiber result in decline speed for Phone Users using 5G Band.
.Fiber takes more maintainance than Air Fiber services. Fiber can break at anytime - anywhere. It can impact major internet issues too but in case of AirFiber, It just require Tower with proper Electricity and proper backend settlement for once. Just need to do once a month checkup if ever need.
This can save alot of expenses for Jio too but for Consumers, It's a hell as AirFibers can't provide same experience as Fiber Provide. (From Gaming, Stability, Plans and Affordability)
Similarly, Jio Doesn't expanding it's Fiber Network to any area now. They've stopped doing it after executing AirFiber (by scamming Fiber Connection Booking with AirFiber).
Lastly, There Back-End. Jio Never fixed there Back-End issues even after processing many complaints to backend team. It'll be same for any Jio Service either Fiber or AirFiber. There 5G just works at 300 - 150MBPS speed at Speed Test websites (particular once) when it is time to download anything, It'll be around 10 - 20MBPS speed (just like 4G).
Also, If you try to use Jio at 5G Band, It'll cause issue at IPv4 eithers by not able to assign it or 2 - 5 MBPS Speed only. It just work on IPv6 perfectly but when it comes to IPv4, It'll be slow as turtle
