Jio launches Rs 259 'calendar month validity' prepaid plan

India's largest telecom operator Reliance Jio has launched Rs 259 plan that comes with calendar month validity to help prepaid users remember just one recharge date every month. Jio is the first in the industry to launch the 'calendar month validity' prepaid plan.

They should also launch smaller plan around 125~150 with monthly data validity like 2-3 GB, and similar calling/message limit.

Yes, retail postpaid mobility customers can recharge with the ₹259 prepaid monthly plan. This plan will be over and above the active postpaid plan.

It means you can use a prepaid plan benefit on postpaid like if you exhaust your postpaid plan data limit, you can recharge with a prepaid data plan. In above case if one recharges with Rs 259 prepaid plan, one will get daily 1.5GB data over and above postpaid data.

What are Pre-on-Post Plans?

Pre-on-Post is a recharge facility from Jio that allows Postpaid users to get the benefits of a prepaid recharges on their Postpaid numbers. These recharges will work irrespective of the bill cycle, giving the full benefit (and not pro-rated).
