Now I really want to port out my vi sim to jio but I am not able to send upc generation message to 1900. interestingly message to 1901 goes through but doesn't generate upc code :/

@dvn880 I think there's some min balance/active plan one has to have, it's been discussed on this forum.

@socrates I already have a 118 data pack active on Vi. Which is the only reasonable pack having service validity.
I saw on Twitter many users with basic 79 pack or other pack below 180 are still not able to sent port out message to 1900. Looks like vi is still following Trai's direction.

What is the cheapest recharge I would have to do after I recharge with rupee 1 to make a outgoing call?

I see 10 rupees top-up plan does it work

No. You can't use main balance to do anything except "International Services" on Jio.

Edit: You can also pay for a plan using your "main balance".

Yes. Both incoming calls and SMS work. Just checked in mine

In my case I was so desperate to get out of Vodafone in 2019 I put a decent sized bonus card & got out. Ofcourse I wasted some money but that was cheaper than screwing up my phone because of lack of signal. Others in my hse who had postpaid paid excess when paying their last bill & were pleasantly surprised that in 2020 they got cheque refunds for the excess paid.
