@yougotmehere the discrepancy shouldn’t be there between the same servers, wifi vs lan:

First everyone should know that 5Ghz alone doesnt guaranty 1Gbps or 2Gbps etc... the 5Ghz is capable of sending and receiving data at high speed through wider channel. but modern routers achieve the speeds of AC standard of wifi through technology called MIMO(Multi in multi out) which means there are separate antenna to communicate with different device or same device (device with 2 or more wifi antenna) to achieve more than 150mbps-300mbps. so in your case the iPhone xs max has 4x4mimo so it can achieve more than 400mbps on wifi but i think Jio router is not MIMO supported or maybe 2x2mimo at the worst.
But i am pretty sure the device is low quality 5Ghz.

@ponnitheunreal 4x4 mimo is for LTE so it's 2x2 for WiFi
