I am guessing they are going to use 26GHz for 5gig FWA. This will make it much better than current FWA .

@Skye True. Idk if there is some kind of monopoly here in my area but JioFiber never reached my apartment. Present in the next lane and neighboring apartments in 200m but not here. They have all the infra here with underground fiber cables layed before covid hit but never started service. My guess is that Jio has decided to completely stop expanding their fiber services into new apartments.
Basically depending on how it us priced the competition can respond to this in several ways.In the near term they could launch 2/1Gbps plan on their existing GPON infrastructure and also slash prices of 1 gbps to levels not significantly more than their 300 mobs plans.

At my place also they literally denied giving fiber wired broadband since 2022 even though the FAT box was just near my house pole, so it may seems like that, but lets see.
@f0r3he4d @VVER# here is to praying the good gigabit internet times comes soon with aggressive cheaper prices, and which nudges other wired broadband players to upgrade too
