Data is the new oil only if you have refinery for it to make something useful out of it.
...And again if you have refinery ,you are gonna somehow interface with America(to sell) or Singapore(where case is carried out right now)

Don't underestimate Reliance Oil, it was the only thing which allowed Ambani to venture into JIO , infact it was the firm bedrock on which JIO stood, Reliance Oil was made to guzzle up 20000 Crore INR of JIO losses.

FB and Google do have that refinery and I don't think that they will give in so easily to Amazon in their home turf

FB is facing anti trust laws in the US plus the new govt will be gunning for FB things will not be very rosy for them now. Their media is expecting some stringent action against it.
