Dear All,I got the wimax connection on 13 June 2007 and I used the wimax max connection only 4 days, After that i am not able to connect the network. The speed is very slow in the four days and also the customer service is waste. I got bored to make complaints about the poor connectivity and speed. The technical people doesn't know anything and they are not telling any reason about the problem. If i made a complaint on one day, they are giving one complaint reference number after that no one is coming to solve the problem, but they are closed the complaint without solving the problem. Finally i am not using the connection now. In my experience i found the following. 1. The wimax service is not fully established in Bangalore. 2. Poor customer support 3. Reliance doesn't have a experienced technical persion to solve the issues. 4. Don't go for Reliance Wimax otherwise don't sign the acceptance form without checking the connectivity and speed. This post is for who is planning to go for the wimax connection in Bangalore. Its for your awareness nothing else.ThanksSenthil

I applied for a reliance wimax connection here at koramangala. Its been over a month now..i still hvnt got it. As anyone in Bangalore would know Koramangala isnt a remote location and is very much inside the city. The first time they came to install wimax they cudnt get signal strength beyond 13 %..somebody from their side called and promised to send a second team of 'experienced' people to try and install this. I am still waiting for the second team..

It's working fine 4 me here in pune. Hope you will experience the same in future.

Good for you snw2288, but for thendral, as you have shared your experience, 'em now awkward for reliance subscription. About others who have good/bad experienced 'bout reliance, please share me guys for me to make my decision regarding my subscription to reliance. Thanks !!

Hi,As you might have checked in other threads, I have had very bad experience with WiMaX connection from the beginning. I am using it for about 2 months but have got the continuous connectivity only for about a month. It works fine for 3-4 days and then it doesn't for the next 2-3 days and so on. So if you have any other choice, don't go for WiMaX at this stage. I think Reliance people are still not aware of how the technology works.Rahul.

Hi,I was planning to use some wireless broadband, as I dont have a decent wired broadband service in my area. The only wired options available for me are Sify and BSNL. Sify is almost crap and I amn't too sure abt BSNL. Therefore I was thinking to give some wireless a try. I have heard abt Airtel wi-fi, but again dont have much clue on its reliability and quality. I m bit doubtful abt it as wi-fi in general I guess is still not a very stable and machure technology in India.I would appreciare if someone can guide me on some wireless (wi-fi) internet providers available in the market that can be explored.Thanks,Vipul.

I am in Bangalore and I am using reliance wimax for a month or so. It worked for me for 2 weeks continuously but later on it stopped working. After 1 week it again started working now. Not sure what is the reason. Since BSNL, Airtel ran out of ports in my area, I don't have any other choice. :(Main problem is getting IP from their DHCP server. If you get IP then you are fine. Download speed is not great but it is OK. I am using "2000 kbps and 4GB download" plan.
