Hi! my name is shubh. i have been using reliance broadband for the past one year . i had to recently change my address. so i had to purchase a new connection from reliance. this time i wasn't provided a modem. i've been provided with a ethernet cable that i have to directly connect to my pc.
i have a D-Link dir-600l router which i used previously.
the first day i connected the ethernet cable to my router, it worked. but now i'm failing to connect through the router.
the possible reason could be the long runninf ethernet cable. i think the standard length is 100m but mine is 150-175 m. so is there any way i can improve the signal for the router. i can only attach a device at my end of the ethernet cable. is there some sort of signal booster.
btw internet works perfect while connected to the laptop directly
