HI, I am using Airtel broad band 128kpbs. However, i will always have problem to connect to remote windows server via Remote Desktop connection. It throws the errror: The computer can't connect to the remote computer But sometimes, it does connect.., say 1 out of 10 times. I have no clue how it happens. But, most to times i get the error. But with the same laptop, if i connect to BSNL broad band, it goes smoothly. Is there any configuration required from AIRTEL to connect to Remote servers via Remote desktop Connection ??

1. Are you using two different modems or a Single modem for a SINGLE computer ? for both ISPs. 2. Mention modem model/make.

when you have errors while connecting via remote desktop.. try to ping the server machine and post output of the ping..

Use a free software called TeamViewer, which allows remote desktop connection without playing around with any network settings and uber fast!
Code:
www.teamviewer.com

Yup TeamViewer is very simple to use and it is free too.. just try it.all u need to do is just enter ID of your remote computer and pass that's it.. it take cares of every thing..:D

BSNL broad band, it goes smoothly.
Single Modem for a single computer
Beetel 220BXI ADSL2+MODEM

You have ONE computer ( Laptop) and two ISP's connection.
Unable to connect with Airtel connection.
Post screenshot of your WAN page.

Probably you have not entered/enabled details for Airtel in VPI/VCI 1_32

Select 1_32 connection and check bridged. Save reboot.
Now connect airtel connection to modem
use dialer to connect.

Confirm how you connect to Internet
use a dialer to connect or "Always On"
