Replace UPS Battery or Buy New UPS

I have Tech-com UPS 600kvanow the battery does not hold for even 1 second with or without load.Hence its useless to have that UPS.the new UPS costs around Rs. 1300.What is the cost of new battery?Can that device battery be replaced? Or I just dump it?

I had a D-Link too, called Digipower right? I now use it to charge my bike's battery as I got an APC 1KVA UPS

I have a 600va UPS with dead battery,can it be used to charge car battery too?45AH it is i guess.

I doubt it can handle 45AH batteries. 12AH is the max I have heard that a computer UPS can handle.

No, he meant computer UPSes that can handle loads upto 2 - 3 KVA. In your case it's 600VA.

inverter would be a better choice anyway but my inverter has double battery (24V) ,cant charge single battery

There is a difference in delay when switching over from mains to battery in UPS and inverter. The delay may result in system crashes. The former is very quick.

I was talking about charging car battery,single battery inverter would be more suitable for the job instead of UPS.

My exide battery died looks like just in a year and one month. Backup dropped from 40 min to 12min

Dealer might have given me old battery as he had taken the ups to his shop :\

Is there anyway to install big inverter battery on this 800 va ups?
