web interface is cool because you can remotely manage your own machine from another machine. from anywhere.
for example i told soluto to update a few packages and clean temporary files from my mobile phone. it's awesome :D

I really dont mind these added features , but there should option to do that offline , i mean disable / enable . Just like in old soluto.
anyway Got a email from them , visiting the link now shows all the apps which needs to be disabled

You are missing the point. They save a lot of resources in doing a web based interface. Users do not need to update their local client for every new feature rollout. Web interface gets the update automatically based on data collected from their local client. Local client also gets a whole lot smaller as a result. I do not remember the last time it asked me to update the local client...
Of course the ability to manage my own machine and the computers connected to my account from any computer globally does not hurt.

what if i accidentally disabled some internet related service and want it back or dont know which service turned off disabled my internet ? Although rare , but i would like to have these as offline options.
I do like the cloud based analysis.
what updates ?

Soluto does not really give you that much control on your machine. It does not really let you disable core services. In fact it stops me from blocking things that I would usually disable through msconfig manually. Anyways. Apparently I am using an older version of the client based on the information you posted.

Been using for a week now ?
Works pretty good. But all management is done on web based ui , which kind of sucks tbh. Off-course managing multiple PC`s , particularly of parents or relatives is goign be much easier , but still , option to do it offline could have been better.
Nevertheless , Soluto has improved a lot over times , Now bootup are faster . I think they tweaked a lot on how SOLUTO itself was hogging the boot-up time in earlier version , for which i had to uninstall it.
I dont know whether soluto or me disabling some options like "Hard disabling Readyboost" , Search Index , etc had given me better bootup times

Dear Soluto friend,

We wanted to let you know that we will be shutting down the Soluto service on April 1st.

8 years ago we set out with our vision to provide a new and easy way to support PC’s and other devices. 2 years ago, we were acquired by Asurion. This acquisition has led us to the world of support for mobile devices and has allowed us the exciting opportunity to impact millions of users.

When this change came about, we chose to make our Soluto service that you know and use free to everyone with no limitation. We sadly reached a point where many of the services aren’t available at the level of quality we’ve held ourselves to in the past and we would need to dedicate significant time and resources to rewrite them. As our focus has shifted, we can no longer offer the dedication needed to support and develop our legacy Soluto service.

We will still keep it available in the next 6 weeks so you’ll have time to make alternative arrangements for your device support.

When you’re ready, here’s how to uninstall Soluto from a PC and from a Mac.

We want to thank you for your support, loyalty and suggestions over these past years.

For any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us at jess@soluto.com

All the best,

The Soluto team
