I recently changed my router and i am noticiing my connection seems to be too slow. I am getting download speeds of 1kbps in some sites like depofiles etc. But other sites like rediff seems to work fine. But most of sites are very slow. I am on 999 conection.
I already tried using different dns but no use.
I tried speed test. i am getting good speed on indian servers but when i tried us servers it was very slow.0.15on us compared to 0.9mbs on indian servers
Can any1 help me
Well, incidentally I too changed my default Binatone Router provided by MTNL with a Netgear D500 one which is known to work fine with MTNL. In fact, it's setup wizard has settings for MTNL connection, making configuration a 5-minute job. I used the same Netgear router for over 15 days, and have been facing speed issues for past 4-5 days. Calling 1504 isn't much help, as they just say some "work" is going on at their main Internet management centre at Prabhadevi in Mumbai. Guess they are getting away with such laxity only because they are a PSU, where profitability is a non-issue and hence, customer service is non-existent.

Business connections probably get special treatment?

No i dont think for adsl they do any bifurcation of data traffic based on connection billing type. They do have bifurcation based on plan category .

If your exchange dial level is same, then it should perform equal. Differnet dial levels can have different priorities.... But not for the same dial levels.

Also, for other circuits they do have priority and non priority. For example, LL for govt offices and PSU gets a different circuit than the regular ones.

Yes yesterday I thought problem was resolved. But my speed was also slow after 10AM or so and at night too till around 11AM I think it was slow.

So just when Reliance fixed the cable cut...... and everything returned back to normal.... MTNL thinks, now its time to switch routing...... to TATA......at least on my Alcatel port 182.59.x.x

EU ping almost 70-80ms higher than normal.....

Code:
tracert 141.136.100.50

For me its random. Sometimes works good and sometimes bad.

Can't load Facebook properly on Reliance even at this time. It usually gets better at night. Not today.
