Rumored Reliance Jio Fiber Broadband Plans

I am really glad now that i paid a total of ₹9000(Appx ₹1270/month+GST) for 6 months of 300Mbps/600GB(additional 1000GB topups whenever required) to airtel . RIP JioFiber. And did i forget to mention that airtel doesn't mess with my router remotely and that i can use my own router by bridging their router without being nat'ed.

Now my wait and watch period is over. Tata Sky DTH is going to stay with me unfortunately and my two ISPs will also stay with a change that I will upgrade my plan on one of them for more data. With three ISPs already in my area, I still have an alternative for backup connection. My broadband expenses are around 1600 PM with approximately 650 GB data allotted and usage comes to around 700 GB, so with an upgrade in one ISP's plan, I can breathe easy for the whole month. My TV expenses are right now very costly at 750 PM but I cannot risk something like IPTV as Tatasky is very stable except rain/thunderstorm. Moreover, TV down hua to pure ghar se danda padega.

Sorry Jio, your plans are suited for people with very deep pockets and better lay your fiber only in tier I cities and that too prime localities like Juhu or Luyten's. We ghareeb log or middle class will be happy with our ACT or local ISPs.

I will stick with my Railwire 100MbPS
1 TB Fup plan only 999 Rs/Month.
It is quite decent and any issues they resolve in 4 hours.Unbelievable customer support from a PSU.

Anyway didn't expect this much low FUP from Jio.
Even local ISP asianet providing 200mbps plan for 600 rs per month better fup than this.
Once they launch fibernet in my locality (will take 3 months) I will take an asianet connection as their cable broadband is not reliable.

Also I hope now other operators dont decrease the FUP because of Jio

1. How these fup limits would sustain the so called lag free gaming which is similar to google stadia. I believe the games would run online via dedicated servers. The data would get exhaust within 4-5 gaming sessions.
2. What about the tv plans. And the setop box which was floating around youtube.

I hope TRAI makes some provision for universal IPTV/DTH STB so that Chinese companies can launch cheap STB with good hardware and software, no need for Jio or dependence on Indian companies which can't do tech
