Plug in and open Galaxy Charging Current app. Post a SS here.

Mostly it 300mA. I keep trying plugin/out until I see atleat 600mA. Nowadays this is becoming difficult as well:-(

Change the USB cable pronto. Samsung cables are of poor quality. Same thing happened with my note 2. It was supposed to supply 1800mAh but it had come down to 700. I bought a micro USB cable on eBay which now gives me steady 1600mAh. My phone charges from 20% - 100% in two and a half hours. It remains to be seen how long it lasts.

The original usb 3.0 cable is completely dead. I am using another cable. Initially it was charging faster. Now no cable helps. Samsung service themselves acknowledged problem in usb port as well as cable. Hopefully they fix it by this week.

Can you link that cable? I'm looking for a cable to transfer data and charge my Note 2 as well.

This is the cable I bought:
http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251463179655

But I got a defective cable. I was getting hardly 200-300mAh current. So I contacted the seller. He turned out to be a cooperative guy, very reasonable. He sent me a replacement cable which works fine. Bear in mind that I am using the cable only for the last 4-5 days. But so far its been good!

Be careful when you buy these usb 3.0 cables for phone. I bought one from Flipkart - not exactly the one linked above. Those cables were thicker than what Samsung provides. If you slight to move the phone it gets disconnected(meaning you can't use it while it is charging). They don't fit well on this phone. But correctly fits in the external hard drive that I have.
