hi guys pls post some tips so that i can save money on power during the downloading in night as only the utorrent is on and i am not using my pc at all

You can hibernate the system or simply set in BIOS to boot up at 2.05 am. You won't find this feature in old versions of BIOS. But you can try wake up from hibernate. There are several tools available.

Will that not stop his download? There are power saving modes I have heard of - reduced CPU usage and fan etc but not really sure.

buy a netbook @ approx 15k, you'll end up using only 35W power

No, you will consume less power during say 10 - 2 slot.

Get a Router which supports DDWRT, attach a HDD to it, and download torrents to it. I am using Asus RT-N13U Rev A router with DD WRT Installed and a 80 gb drive attached to its USB port. And i use Transmission to handle torrent downloads.

If i put my system in hibernate, during 2 AM it reboot, but it will not logged in, in schedule task i had clicked that option, run task eventhough system is logged off. But broadband batch file runs, but torrents did not start. What can i do. If i remove the user login pwd, the system goes to lock mode after reboot.

How many torrents can you run simultaneously on the router?

Instead of getting a netbook for 15k just for downloads you can get a Atom D425 + ram + hdd + cabinet/psu for around Rs. 6.5-7k, use remote control software to control it, uses only 25W power full load.
