One year on and they still are not on bbps as directed. But sure here are some security stuff for which we had plenty of time to work on.

their app is so bad. i am glad i do not have a bank account with them with this app. and they keep on enabling 'marketing messages' and logging in to the app is so annoying and now this security key. would they stop me from accessing web banking if i do not use their app now?

Possible. Though I wonder what they would expect people to do with basic phones.

P.S. I do have relatives/friends who still use feature phones and specifically one who has got so scared of hearing of scams through smartphone etc that he refuses to have any banking app on his iPhone...

Looks like desktop will need the key to login (like HSBC) - not sure what happens to those who never registered or have used an app.

this shit always creates a mess if you reset your phone or reinstall the app.
