Hi Friends,

I have a faulty Seagate SATA Hard Drive which is still under warranty as I checked the status on their website using my serial no. But I can't find their customer help line number for India, something like a toll free telephone number. Can you please help me? I got this number from the internet but there is no reply from it.

Have you ever got a hard drive replaced from Seagate India? Is there a service centre in Mumbai? On Seagate India site, where I checked the warranty status of mine hard drive, there is an online form to be filled out for a replacement of a Seagate product under warranty followed by a payment page. I am not sure as to who pays the shipping charges for a replacement. Thanks.

Check & make sure you hdd is still under warranty. Just register online n ship the hdd to chennai on you own cost or let the pickup agent in your city do that. Wait for 3-4 weeks to get the replacement. Calling toll free nos is a waste of time. Mostly real person won't answer for it. Everything is IVR ... You can get the Reimbursement of the shipping cost you paid. They will ship back the new or refurbished hdd to you at free of cost.

These Accel guys are pathetic. I had given my Transcend pendrive for replacement in around first week of July and it has still not arrived.

Yes, people keep telling me that they take a long time to replace a product. This is exactly what annoys me a lot these day and age. Thanks. I will stop calling them and visit a service centre myself as I have already been told by my local Mumbai service centre that one can visit them any time during working days so I will do so ASAP and keep you guys posted. Thanks a lot.
