I recently moved to a new house and am planning to get a fiber connection for it. I used JioFiber in my previous residence and am willing to give Airtel a try. I am considering purchasing the ₹1099 plan, which includes over 20 OTT subscriptions.

However, I have a concern: with JioFiber, you receive a subscription to an app like SonyLIV on your number and can sign in to the official SonyLIV app to watch premium content. I have read many negative reviews of the Airtel XStream app and do not want to be restricted to a single app for all my content needs. I want the flexibility to watch content on the respective official apps of the available OTT services and to switch back and forth between the official apps and the Airtel XStream app as needed.

Thank you for your valuable time and feedback.

Solution
Only Netflix, Prime Video and Hotstar subscriptions are linked to mobile number. Rest all are available only via Airtel Xstream app.
I agree with @BabaYaga_79 . I use safari on my macbook and their OTT doesnt work on safari. I have to use chrome/safari in order to access it, while chrome has issues with macOS.

This is really bad news for me as well, as I would be also be moving from Jio Fiber to Airtel.
I think its better to go for non-OTT Plans and subscribe OTT separately.
