Hello,I would like to set up my home system , as a Web Hosting Server. I will Host Doamin like parthagoswami.com , So anyone can visit the sites, But It will host my Local system. I have UL 900 plus plan. Can Anybody tell me, How can I Do this? ThanksPartha

yeh.just download web servers. Plenty of then are free. Paid ones are good..
it seems that u r not a advanced computer user. So, the most popular webserver APACHE is not for you. Actually, i tried it too but failed to do connection settings.
You can use Abyss Web server. X1 is free and X2 is paid with added features like bandwidth limit etc. Its easy to use and resource friendly.
If you hav a little advanced system u can use Savant or Sambar web servers too. They are nice with added security than Abyss. Actually, for setting up a home based web hosting company u will need to secure privacy and security from hacks...so try these two.
and in ur domain hosting company site enter redirection url as http://[your ip here]. bSNL will give u dynamic ip so u will need to change it again and again after a reconnection.
Hope this might help.
Add repps if u liked my reply

i wud like to know ur server configuration too..so that i may guess that will it support home based web hosting server or not.
And if till now u hvnt registered the domain u mentioned partha..com plz change the name. becoz using names in domain creates a hell lot of trouble specially in hosting companies.

A web server can be hosted on an ADSL line with static IP addresses for broadband connection. (Static IP addresses are available in Business 5000 and Business 9000 plans) Although it is technically possible but not recommended specially for important or heavy usage service. ADSL is asymmetric service with upstream rates much lower than downstream rates. In the business plan upstream rate is 128 kbps and with usual contention ratio, performance can be poor if many users try to access the web server. As it is not a recommended use, BSNL would not support maintenance complaints in such cases.
