I wanted to replace my Jio Fiber ONT device and hence bought this GPON SFP stick. I used a media converter to convert this fiber signal to an ethernet one (TP-Link MC220L). I connected the GPON SFP stick to my laptop's ethernet port and made the following changes. For the GPON SN I tagged the JCOW with the last 8 characters of the MAC address. I converted the MAC to MACKEY using this tool.

I was able to see the O5 status but did not get an IP from Jio. What am I missing or doing wrong here? I have the Blue JIO ONT from about two years back.

Totally wrong GPON SN, brdr, you probably have to use SCOM instead of JCOW. Can you please share the firmware version of the Jio HGW, so that it can be confirmed?
Also, you don't even need to change the MACKEY for Jio Fiber.

This is the firmware version: SRCMTFI_JCOW414_R2.59

Whats "brdr"?

I got the inspiration from here and here.

Also forgot to mention that I've set the VLAN ID as 1015.

This is my router:

Most interesting!! And yeah, you have to use SCOM in place of JCOW and it should work, try VLAN scan after putting the correct GPON SN and rebooting. Login to the telnet of the HSGQ SFP ONU stick and run the following command:
omcicli mib get 84
And brdr = brother

And I was referring to the third party router you're going to use, brdr!
And make sure you only put VLAN only in one place, either the SFP ONU stick or your PC's ethernet adapter.

Thanks brdr :) I'll try this out. Quick question, should I clone the MAC address and add the VLAN in the GPON stick or in my opnsense?

Is it working now?
If yes then please share full details.
It will very helpful.
Because i am using jio static ip and jio router not support NAT Loopback.

Might be this will resolve this issue.

If you are on enterprise broadband plan. You can pay 150+gst extra for static ip.

My current plan is 499+gst for 30mbps + 150+ gst extra for static ip.
