I'm sure this has been covered before, not sure what to search for.

My cousin has just done up his house, ground + first floor. LAN cable has been installed in-wall for all rooms. Currently only PC + ADSL modem is on the ground floor. He will soon be having one desktop and a laptop on the first floor in seperate rooms. What would be the smart/best way to share the MTNL connection ? Preferrably he would like to be able to access the net on any one of the computers without having to switch on any other. And he would like to use the laptop in any room in the house ( all have LAN cable already installed ).

Thanks, suggestions and approx price needed.

I also have 3 computers in my home (2 desktop , 1 laptop and 1 mobile phone wifi enabled). I'm using wifi modem for laptop n phone and lan cable for my desktops. you can use all these simultaneously. now a days wifi router has very good range so there aren't any issue of drop signal.

If you dont want to replace the existing ADSL modem with a wifi one, you can share the broadband connection using a simple 10/100 ethernet switch.
