Hi all,

I have applied for an MTNL triband connection & want to purchase my own adsl modem+router combo to use with my laptop (which is wifi enabled). Can you please suggest which I should go in for:

Netgear DG834G
D-Link DSL 2640T
Any other

Thanks.

Hi,

I just join this forum.

I have applied for MTNL triband and brought D-Link DSL -2640 T ADSL router + Modem.
I would like to know whether DLink DSL 2640t is compatable with MTNL triband.

Regards

Sujeet

Hello.. i just bought D-Link DIR 300 and configured it with my existing DSL 502T ADSL Router. I configured ADSL 502T with bridged mode and DHCP connection. The internet is working fine, and I can access my home PC through my laptop. However as you guys know the MTNL router needs to be rebooted before 12 at night, and after 8 AM, I need to know how to reboot my DIR 300 router using command line, so I can create a script for the same.I earlier used Automize to automate reboot of my ADSL 502T router before 12 AM and after 8 AM.When I try to connect to DIR 300 through telnet, I get connection failed. All suggestions/configurations are welcome..

well rebooting only one router is enough.. so i guess rebooting the 502T would do

ADSL 502T cannot be accessed through Telnet, as its output is already going to the DIR 300 router. So the DIR 300 router only needs to be rebooted... but for some reasons, I can't access it through TELNET... :wall:

I didnt get you?? are both routers having their own unique ips?

Yup.. the DSL 502T has 192.168.1.1 and DIR 300 has 192.168.0.1.

Is there a way both could work on same IP address ?

Again I haven't yet tried configuring my NIC with Static IP.. Do you think that could make a difference ?

no i just checked.. and I cannot ping 192.168.1.1..should I be able to ping both the IPs ?
