Some background pointers:
1) Jk prepaid SIMs don't work in other states and vice versa is also true.
2) To counteract the above problem all the operators here have a Rs 10 postpaid plan generally called "pre on post" which essentially converts your prepaid to postpaid and then you can recharge your postpaid connection like a prepaid with any plan that you like.
3) I have a JIO SIM with the same postpaid plan of Rs 10 to compare my Vi experience and JIO's experience is buttery smooth with regards to this scenario.
So, yesterday i converted my prepaid to postpaid and since this is my secondary sim which is not used often i chose the "Jk Lite 10" and they also did a 179 recharge to start things off, the Vi mini store told me that it's done and now you just need to keep recharging with whatever plan you like and i was like okay, today i check the Vi app and i cant see the recharge details in my account and i confirm with the mini store employee and she tells me that the recharge wont come up in the Vi app and that's the way it is for pre on post plans (I was like weird but okay because it made no sense since Jio shows recharge detail and benefits with their Rs 10 postpaid plan)
Then i thought okay i'll check what plans are there so i went to the recharge section, enter my number and it tells me that it's a postpaid and cant be recharged (With Jio if you're on a Rs 10 postpaid plan it lets you recharge your postpaid connection via the recharge tab just like any other prepaid and that makes sense because people on Rs 10 postpaid do need to recharge to make use of their SIM because these plans don't come with any calling or data benefits) so then i call customer care and the person over there tells me that for Rs 10 postpaid plans, recharges can only be done from the mini stores, I mean, How stupid is that?
So now i'm just gonna wait till i've gotten my money's worth and hopefully port.
If any of you have any solutions as to how i can recharge my SIM without visiting the store, i'm all ears!
