Hi people.. I am a new member here as i am trying to figure out the best ISP provider in my area - Kodihalli in Bangalore. In my earlier residence i have been using Airtel and i was immensely happy with their service and the quality of the connection. As i had an unlimited connection, i did not have the login issue and sorts. Here in my new place unfortunately Airtel doesnt provide the service where as Tata Indicom does. While i read through some threads.. i understood that Tata Indicom wimax connections have issues with downnloading and sorts especially with torrents. Is this true? Is there a concrete solution for this problem? I download massively using torrents.... :pDo they have login thingy every other time you connect to the internet? I hate it... :frown:Does it get disconnected while downloading from torrents?Do they provide a static ip for the connection or is it only for the postpaid connections?I am waiting for your valuable suggestions. The other options in front of me is Hathway, BSNL and Reliance...

Why not use BSNL, they have excellent speed and hardly any downtime, try for bsnl first that is what i will recommend

In Wimax if your our signal strength is more than 20 you should get decent speeds even with torrents. in TATA Wimax modem page it's called CINR. so when the tech comes for installation just ensure it's more than 20 or else don't take it.On my current 512 Kbps connection i get a stable DL of 60 KBps & same for UL aswell for torrents...i'have upgarded to 1 Mbps effective next month :dance:I got the connection by calling 65339900 & i stay in vijaynagar area. They first take a cheque, fillup the application. then a tech comes to your place checks if the CINR is more than 20 & then only make the installations or else they probably return the cheque :cool2:

be careful with tata coz they are not good and if u have madeup ur mind to go for tata then atleast ask few tata users in ur locality
