Should I go for MTNL or not??

Although I decided my plan but its so tempting to go for the unlimited plan.
Can u guys post ur speedtest results who all r having 256kbps plans!! I dont think the youtube viewing wud be smooth.
One word sums it all up. DONT go for 256 unlimited if you plan on you tube and streaming and large downloads. It sucks. I was on 256 unlimited for last two months and I have gone back to DSL 749 2mbps. 256 is okay only for browsing and some downloads. (e.g. my personal experince - a 700MB movie file takes about 6 hrs to download on 256kbps but on 2MB it takes hardly 1.5 hrs)

Thanks guys for your posts. It seems that there is no one who dislikes MTNL or has found major issues. So I think I should go ahead with this. But now comes the second BIG question. I am going crazy to decide on some plan which fits my pocket. I find 512 kbps UL which fulfills my requirement, but its way over the budget. Something under 600 which atleast enables me to voice chat (Gtalk) uninterruptedly. Suggest me some plan.I have heard of some night plans but cudnt locate it over MTNL Tariffs section. Any pointers?

voice chat would be fine on a 256kbps connection.youtube is just around fine on a 512kbps connection.
