I am in no hurry..so waiting :D

Xperia mini pro has slider.. which I dont trust. So dont want to buy it..plus not in budget!

Plus it does not support VIDEO CALL.. it supports Video chat using skype, fring but not true NETWORK based VIDEO CALL.

SE website says that the walkman phone has the timescape ui. However, using a smartphone as a substitute for a stick just doesn't cut it. I hate to see my Galaxy sl heat up when wireless ap is on. Buy a stick while you wait for a phone.

If you will be using your phone, use the USB connection to use internet. Wireless AP will drain your battery very fast.

Yes will use USB..but let me buy it first :D

Wireless 1 is reqed so that just in case I forget USB cable or at someone else's place

7) Internet via USB shud be possible (because bluetooth drains battery)
9) Internet via bluetooth. Helps in case u forget ur USB connector.

mobile device is not suggested if you want it to use it primary as a modem.

u should search fr a cell phone which converts to USB dongle and does not use any power when connected to PC :P

Just saw the walkman phone's advt on tv. Looks pretty nice.

Huh, its not launched yet or is it?

Did you see Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman? Or just Sony Ericsson Walkman? Two are different.

Let me say this, I thought abt 2 scenarios and I thought USB phone wud be better than USB modem wrt power:

Scenario 1) You have electricity

a) USB phone can be charged via electricity and laptop too.
b) USB modem draws power from laptop but laptop can be charged.

Scenario 2) You DONT have electricity

a) USB phone draws power from its own battery and laptop from its own battery.
b) USB modem draws power from laptop and drains laptop battery faster

So in scenario 2, USB modem will discharge my laptop faster than USB phone.

The tagline was, 'se live with walkmannow on reliance 3g'. The advt ended with the line, 'se | live with walkman ' It was black in colour and looked just like the one on se's website., I am pretty sure that its the same phone.
