Haha, we have already entered in a LOOP few posts back :Dwhile (1) { if (word=="peace") break; debate(); } //bad code!

I got same speeds on my Nokia E72 and on Huawei UMG1831.......download speed @ 900kBps on both, same browsing too...Nokia e72 max@ 10.2mbps , huawei umg 1831 max @ 21mbps but airtel provides only 7.2mbps at my place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF8YTkjyHZI I don’t think we have weak antenna's in mobile phones.Earlier i have also tested huawei e173(friends) and Sony ericsson cedar both hspda@ 7.2mbps but my downloading speed is in between 500-700 kBps only on both devices ,though they are capable of 7.2mbps dl speed they have achieved max 5.5mbps .I think i got 900kBps constant on e72/umg 1831 only because both device are above 7.2mbps.....i think 7.2mbps data card/phones cannot achieve total 7.2mbps speed .Note: i’m not an expert, i may be wrong....plz correct me......Using 3g internet on mobile phone is not recommended for long hours, should buy 3g modem.

I again repeat... your requirement are very complex. You want dual sim 3G mobile supporting high speed browsing while using mobile as modem, you also want your both sim to be active (calling on 1, browsing on other), you want that mobile with OS supporting multitasking, mobile should be from good brand, and all this in price range of 10~12K!I would again suggest, keep it simple, get a Android mobile for multitasking & USB stick for high speed browsing on PC (both could come in 10~12 K depending upon brand & features)

Hmm... looks like I will have to do that, if I dont find anything in few weeks.I am thinking of changing my requirements. But instead of taking mobile and USB stick, I will keep my existing Nokia N70 as is for Vodafone and buy other good mobile for MTNL.1) Single SIM2) HSDPA 7.2Mbps capable3) Android 2.3 - Gingerbed4) Tethering capable5) Video call with front camera6) 8MP camera OR atleast 5MP camera (this is new addition)7) Good battery life, I suppose 8hrs (on 2G) is now normal.I dont know if touchscreen wud be good or bad, I dont know if touchscreen go bad after 1-2 yrs, I want it to last atleast 4 years! So QWERTY if touchscreen are not reliable.I know there are many phones, I would like to have suggestions from people who have actually used such mobiles.

touchscreens used to have a short shelf life. not any more. people are still using first generation iPhones and people are still hacking and using the first android phone. of course, they are more prone to go bad compared to regular phones. one bad drop and you can say good bye to the display if not adequately protected.

@amishAny particular price range ?I've dropped my Galaxy sl thrice on concrete and once on wooden flooring :P the display is still in perfect condition, but the bezel has got a few scratches here and there.

Below 10k wud be good. But dont mind going upto 12k provided it really has worthy features.. NO interest in SHOW OFF features :D

----------

In general I will go for cheapest (but reliable brand with some good review) mobile which gives above 7 points that i have mentioned.
