Should I wait for TataSky HD + ??

Then indian maveric became a proud but sometimes frustrated owner of Tata Sky hd+ lol


Well not yet... I did book my connection on 4 May and still waiting for the connection to be installed... Had a sweet discussion with Customer care on firday... who told that Sat-Sun they dont work!! So might have to wait till Monday...
Apparently the TS+ HD booking is now ON and they have a big wait period for the installation... and Lets Wait and Watch... (literally)

Talk about frustation.. try Sun Direct :P

Now Instllation charges are Rs 500 if u r a new customer . For existing customers its FREE

Nope... I cross checked with them few times about the installation charges... They said no installation charges.. and Also since I went with the Mega pack (5300/- offer prices), any future service visits by there techinicians would be free.. (geez i dint knw they do charge these??) .... atleast till one year...

Website is updated now. U just got the STB in time and saved Rs 500 :D

Seems my Lucky streak is still on... got a call from TS (local distributor I suppose) about installation on Sunday..
They Came... They installed and I Watched...

They charged me 200 bucks for the additional cable.. cant help if someone stays in 2nd floor of a six storied apartment.... and the installation itself was free... Whew that was close... The installation guy was pretty cool... Felt they were more professional than SD guys who found it pretty hard aligning my Dish...

And then Watched Pune beat Punjab Beautifully (picture quality I mean)...
 
Update...
Apparently the free installation offer (which was on when I booked the connection) is not applicable anymore.
The TS guys informed me that I may have to pay 500 bucks ... and then my service got disconnected as the balance ran into negative..
I called the Customer care and after talking till the second level supervisor and some convincing... the 500 was credited back to my account and now things are back to normal...
Pretty close call... Though I am little surprised that the sales guys who talk so much while selling the product did not updated the details in my account...
All in all, they did respond to query immediately, and service was restore with only a day lost...
