Sify Broadband Slow download speed, though no Timed Out

HiIm on a 256kbps and I normally can download @25-28Kbps.But off recently, download is @2-5Kbps even though web pages load fast enough.ping is giving a 100% REPLY with almost 0 or few Timed Out.So what could possibly be the problem ? Config setting on my side or do I need to call up Sify ? Problem is, when someone from Sify checks it out, he would find any speed issues as every webpage loads pretty fast.Thanks

Done all that. But even in Flashget the speed gets to only 10-15Kbps.

You need to contact them. There may be a problem in your cable or There may be a problem from your Local CTO side not sify. Its better you contact Sify Customercare and shout at them. Tell them that if this continues you will leave their connection. They should solve your problem
